OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE:
Recently making the Top 20 on the Billboard dance chart and blossoming into a celebrated New York City DJ, it can be easy to forget Keo Nozari's talents as singer/songwriter.
Now for the very first time, four of Keo's songs--on which he is the sole writer of all music and lyrics--are available performed by him live. Culled from his critically acclaimed debut album Late Nite VIP, these stripped-down, raw renditions showcase Keo's skills as writer and vocalist.
Three of the tracks were recorded in rehearsals for an acoustic set Keo did at the former Starlight in New York City. But most notable, however, is "Question of Monogamy" recorded at the legendary CBGBs. The historic venue was Keo's very first public solo show in the Big Apple.
The gritty rendition of "Question of Monogamy" at CBGBs was also the song's debut performance, and it made quite an impact. Explains Keo, "I remember how totally terrified I was at this show -- it was a big step going from my little East Village apartment into a venue like CBGBs. I was pure nerves nearly the whole way through the set." But when it came time for "Question of Monogamy," magic happened. "I remember how I just relaxed and opened up into the song, and the raw, real emotion came out. I could just feel the electricity with the crowd," Keo recalls.
And now he's happy to share this premier version--and all four live renditions of his songs--for the very first time.
VIP Acoustic is now available as digital download on iTunes, Amazon.com, Rhapsody, and many more!
